How to use Shaders on iOS MCBE
SHADER is EVERYTING iOS!
❓ What is Shaders
Shaders are just programs that tell the GPU how to render pixels. But Minecraft Bedrock doesn’t let us use custom ones. Right now, we only have the "Deferred Technical Preview," which feels like a restricted template instead of a real shader. It has super high requirements that most players can't run, and every pack looks the same—just with different colors and textures.
True shaders are about freedom and optimization. They let developers create unique clouds and water while keeping the game smooth. The best part is that real shaders can look beautiful without killing your frame rate, making them playable on low-end devices. That’s why we need actual shader support!
How to use Shaders
🍎 For iOS ------------
With the IPA you can change shaders in-game without having to manually replacing shader files as well as login with Xbox and play multiplayer (which was not possible before without additional steps)
Note: You have to use shaders that are made for iOS and supports your game version. Also put shaders in Game Settings -> Global resources (not inside world settings)
